Aim: To explore the range of approaches employed on beach nesting bird sites in England, quantify success, and improvements- identifying priorities for the BNB programme strategy.
Objectives:
- Understand the range of approaches trialled to date at BNB project sites in England to manage threats to breeding birds.
- Understand how the toolkit can be applied/tailored to individual sites and adapted over coming years.
- Identify any emerging (not yet formally trialled) approaches for dealing with these challenges, as well as methods that could benefit from a trial (like nest cages)
- Recognise the importance of regular collaboration and the creation of a central management guidance hub
- Understand wider BNB programme goals, and what success looks like for the programme
- Establish priorities for BNB strategy delivery for next 5 years.
